Why Childhood Immunisation Matters
Childhood vaccinations are one of the safest and most effective ways to protect children against serious infectious diseases.
When most children are vaccinated, it also helps protect the wider community through community immunity (herd immunity). This is especially important for:
Babies who are too young to be fully vaccinated
People with weakened immune systems
Individuals who cannot receive certain vaccines for medical reasons
By keeping vaccination rates high, we help reduce the spread of preventable diseases and keep our communities healthier.
