Even when contraception is used, methods such as the oral contraceptive pill or condoms can be less effective in everyday life due to missed pills, forgotten doses, or condom breakage.
That's why long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) is one of the most effective and convenient forms of contraception available. Unlike short-acting methods, LARC doesn't require daily attention or correct use every time. While no contraceptive method is 100% effective, implants and IUDs are more than 99% effective at preventing pregnancy.

Contraceptive implant (Implanon) insertion, removal and replacement
Intrauterine device (IUD) insertion, removal and replacement
As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of our community, we believe that cost should not be a barrier to accessing safe and effective contraception. That's why we have made the decision to bulk bill all Implant and IUD procedures, helping make these highly effective contraceptive options more accessible to everyone who may benefit.
