Unplanned pregnancy
50% of pregnancy is unplanned in Australia, and one-fourth of these women choose to terminate the pregnancy. There are two safe and effective methods – surgery or taking tablets. At the Madison Medical Practice Northbridge, we provide a medical termination up to 9 weeks gestation.
You don’t need a blood test or a scan before the appointment. We can organise these tests either off-side or in-house depending on the gestational age.
If you’re unsure what to do, you can book either a telehealth or face-to-face appointment and chat with Dr Jung-Yoon Huh, who can provide non-directive pregnancy counselling (this attracts a Medicare rebate even though you’re new to the practice).
We can also perform an STI check, cervical screening test and provide contraception and vaccination.
